EJ McCoy is the co-founder of Scoop Soldiers, Scoop Soldiers Franchising, Chorbie, Chorbie Franchising & White Picket Team. At the young age of 8 years old, he was “voluntold” by his mother to mow his neighbor’s yard. Not exactly the dream of a young kid from Allen, Texas. But, it provided something every 8-year old dreams of – cold hard cash, $5. While it’s easy to assume the rest is history, that’s not the whole story. In his teens, he was introduced to the Amway organization. Through years of education and mentorship, EJ’s mission began to form. He is on a mission to bring awareness to the Pet Waste Removal industry, inspire entrepreneurship and disrupt the home services industry through a tactful combination of technology and franchising.
From mowing lawns in Allen, Texas, EJ began his entrepreneurial journey with EJ McCoy Enterprises LLC in 2006. By 2008, he was generating 6 figures in revenue doing business as Emerald Lawn and Landscaping and expanded his service offerings to most of Collin County, Texas. In 2010, he and business partner Josh Cahill teamed up to establish what today has grown into Scoop Soldiers, a nationwide Pet Waste Removal industry leader. In 2016 Emerald Lawn and Landscaping transitioned to Weed Xtinguishers, which then expanded to most of the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, and surpassed $4 Million in annual revenues. By 2018, Scoop Soldiers had now expanded outside of major cities in Texas to Oklahoma, Arizona, Georgia, Colorado, and Florida. In June of 2019, Weed Xtinguishers went through another rebrand to establish what is now known as Chorbie. Chorbie is laying the groundwork to be a disruptor with the intent to have a lasting impact on the home service industry. In August 2019, Scoop Soldiers began their journey as a franchisor, awarding 4 enhanced territories to its first 3 franchisees.
As though the summer of 2019 was not busy enough, EJ co-founded and established White Picket Team as a way to consolidate the management of Chorbie, Chorbie Franchising, Scoop Soldiers, Scoop Soldiers Franchising, among other brands owned by EJ. With their talent, systems, and leadership, these organizations have achieved new levels of success year after year. Thanks to the group at White Picket Team, by the end of 2023, the Scoop Soldiers brand had 96 franchised territories in 16 states across the U.S.
In 2024, the Pet Waste Millionaire brand and Scoop Soldiers launched the Turning Poop Into Gold Takeover Tour, where they are currently traveling the country to bring awareness of the pet waste removal industry to dog owners coast to coast.
His mission isn’t about being a ‘millionaire’; it’s about providing generational opportunities for the entire home services industry. Simultaneously, the mission is to help other entrepreneurs ‘Find Your Gold’ through the same level of education and mentorship he received at an early age. The Pet Waste Millionaire brand is a direct representation of the American Dream. It shows that anyone, no matter your background or circumstances, can pursue opportunity and find success. Finding fulfillment and inspiration through his faith in Jesus, he is here to make a statement that the American Dream is not just alive, but burning.
